15 Oct The Great Pumpkin Fest Arrives at California’s Great America
It is finally October and that means it is Halloween season! To start the season off right, we had a family outing to The Great Pumpkin Fest at California’s Great America in Santa Clara, California.
From Noon-4pm on weekends from October 3-November 1, guests can hang with their favorite Peanuts pals at Snoopy’s Trick-Or-Treat Festival! Those 12 and under can race through a hay maze, decorate pumpkins, color at the coloring station, and dance in a foam pit. There is even a talking pumpkin that talks to the kids in the newly expanded Planet Snoopy! Not to mention that you can trick or treat around Planet Snoopy! We decided to take the kids out for this fun afternoon early in the month so that they could get a lot of use out of their costumes! Problem is, the oldest didn’t have hers yet, and the youngest didn’t want anything to do with his! Sooooo, my oldest had the brilliant idea to slap some reindeer antlers on her head and be “the random reindeer!” I really applaud her creativity! She is always great at going with the flow. I guess that is the life of the oldest child. The kids had a great time at The Great Pumpkin Fest at California’s Great America! Their favorite part of the day was surprisingly not the rides, but running around trick or treating and taking pictures with the Peanuts Gang!
Well, there was a lot of just running around, too!

Their only complaint: that we didn’t get the gigantic funnel cake that we got back in May! Seriously, that thing, even split between 6 people, is a treat your body can only handle once a year! Or so says my hubby, who told us all “no way” as we passed by the funnel cake place.
While they didn’t get funnel cake, they did manage to come home with plenty of candy! If you’re planning on being in the bay area during the month of October, you should definitely check out The Great Pumpkin Fest at California’s Great America! It’s SPOOKtacular!
