26 Oct My Mickey Baby Shower!
I am a mother of 3 girls. I love my girls. They are so sweet and so fun to dress up and buy all kinds of cute, pink, frilly dresses. I am now 36 weeks pregnant with a boy! While I would have loved to have another girl, I am so excited to have a baby boy! When my amazing friends asked me what I would like to see at my shower, I said two things: blue & Mickey. The Mickey request was definitely not a surprise to my friends, and really, neither was the blue! Being that this is my last baby, and my only boy, blue was a must! And of course, me asking for Mickey to make an appearance at the shower is just a given for this Disney loving mama! And with that, my friends threw me a shower I had only dreamed of! I can’t even begin to tell you how incredibly perfect everything was, so I won’t try! I will just show you some pictures from the evening. Maybe some of you were thinking of throwing a Mickey baby shower soon as well! I’m sure you will get plenty of cute ideas from this post!
And this cute banner is now hanging over the baby’s bassinet! I love that I can reuse these decorations at home to celebrate baby’s homecoming!
Mickey lanterns were hanging above the tables! There was Mickey everywhere! I seriously didn’t know where to look!
These cute diaper stands with adorable Mickeys had blue balloons attached to the top! The baby Mickeys are not only adorable, but the diapers they are sitting on top of will be incredibly useful very soon! Who doesn’t love getting diapers at baby showers?
Dinner was a nacho bar! The chips were in a Mickey bowl and the toppings were served in these smaller adorable Mickey head bowls. While I’m not sure where they came from, they look like the ones that some kids meals are served in at the parks! I had never even thought to take those home and reuse them!
Here is my perfect cake! My wonderful sister-in-law actually ordered it for me from across the country! Even though she wasn’t able to make it out here for the occasion, she was there in spirit.
And this delicious and adorable cake more than made up for that “no” RSVP!
Then of course, there were favors to consider! What better favors are there than cake pops! Chrystal’s Cake Pops pulled out all the stops to make these blue Mickey cake pops. They were so cute that it took me a full day before I was actually able to take a bite out of one! Let me tell you that they were not only a cute decoration to have displayed at the shower, but the chocolate flavored treats were incredibly tasty to eat as well. I may or may not have eaten 3 of them without sharing one with my husband. I will blame the baby….he was hungry. She makes a lot of other cute Disney themed cake pops as well, so you can bet that she’ll be hearing from me again soon!
These amazing women are better friends than I could have ever asked for and I am so blessed to have them in my life! Of course, that goes for my sister-in-law as well who helped out with my shower from afar! And thank you to my other friends who came out to celebrate with me and “Baby Thor!” (My temporary name for the baby who currently has no name!) It was the most wonderful shower and I will never forget it!
