Top 5 Disneyland Sweet Treats

Disneyland Sweet Treats

For some people, taking Disney vacations is all about the food. They live their lives waiting for their next mouthwatering Turkey Leg or Monte Cristo Sandwich. For me, I dream of the day I will get to eat my next piece of sweet deliciousness from Disneyland! I don’t have a sweet tooth, I have a few of them. So if somewhere I go has a amazingly delicious sweet treats, you better believe that I will be returning! Disneyland is FULL of sweet goodness, but I have a list of my top 5 favorite desserts at Disneyland.

1) The Dole Whip/Dole Whip Float.

I don’t even know where to begin with this one. Pineapple whipped into a delicious, frozen, melt in your mouth treat. I prefer it in the float form as it comes with a cute umbrella and pineapple juice to help quench my thirst on a hot summer day. It is too good to pass up. If you’re feeling for a more adult version of the Dole Whip, head over to the Disneyland Hotel to get a splash of rum in your island treat!

2) Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar

This one is ever so elusive. Before I can ever snap a picture of this Mickey shaped delectable dynamo, it mysteriously is missing one or both of it’s ears. Hmmmm….

3) The Churro

I have had churros. I love churros. I have been known to frequent the Costco food court every few weeks only to get my hands on one of their cheap and yummy churros! I don’t know what it is, but Disneyland’s churros are extra amazing! They are pixie dusted with sugar and cinnamon and a whole lot of magical memories in every bite! If you haven’t had one yet, you are truly missing out!

4) The Mickey Apple

Yes, I mentioned apple in the sweet treats category. Don’t be fooled. This is no ordinary apple. It is covered in waves of caramel, chocolate and sugar crystals! Not only is this apple coated in all of my favorite things, but it has been known to take on the shape of Mickey, the cheshire cat, Jack Skellington, and other Disney favorites. The best part is that even if you are leaving the park at midnight, just realizing that you have yet to sink your teeth into one of these babies, you can pick one up to take home with you! Which also leaves you the opportunity to enjoy one or more of the other treats on this list while at the park without overdoing it! Yes folks, I do have a few tricks up my sleeve when it comes to enjoying sweets at the parks!

5) Mickey Beignets

I have saved the best for last. These mickey shaped fluffy pillows of tasty delight are unique to Disneyland park. That alone makes them special. They are like donuts covered in powdered sugar, only a thousand times better! You can sit down and have them with delicious dipping sauces at Cafe Orleans or you can grab them from the Mint Julep Bar around the corner and take them to your favorite snacking spot in the park to enjoy.
